When teenager Jack Clarke signed for Peterborough Petes this summer, it was hard not to think back to the last UK native to suit up in a maroon uniform.
The nineteen-year-old made his OHL debut during the 2024-25 season. After suiting up in 19 games for the Erie Otters, Clarke spent last year in the GOJHL.
It was a successful campaign with the St. Marys Lincolns. The GB U20 forward accrued 24 points through 41 games. He was then an ever-present through a playoff run that ended in a finals defeat.
Following in the footsteps of Liam Kirk, Clarke took just four games to open his account for the Petes.
The forward also dropped the gloves for the first time in his OHL career. He held his own in a tilt with Maple Leafs prospect and noted physical force, Matthew Hlacar.
Clarke has been playing centre in the bottom six for Peterborough and has made a positive start in retaining his place in the line-up.
