Great Britain forward Jack Clarke was traded this weekend and will start next season in unfamiliar surroundings.
The Elmira Sugar Kings completed a trade with St. Marys Lincoln with Kyle Morey going the other way in a single-player exchange.
Clarke featured in nineteen games for the Erie Otters after making the OHL roster out of training camp.
After being reassigned to the GOJHL, the 18-year-old spent the remainder of the 2024-25 season in Elmira.
The St. Marys Lincolns are a junior ice hockey team based in St. Marys, Ontario, Canada. It’s situated west of Kitchener and north of London and is known by its nickname, “The Stone Town.”
This is due to the abundance of limestone in the surrounding area and is a major producer of cement in the province of Ontario.
St Marys is also home to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Lincolns will soon be celebrating their 70th year of existence and call the Pyramid Recreation Complex home.
Clarke is joining a team that has regularly been in the hunt for championships and enjoyed regular-season success in recent years.
St Marys has appeared in the Conference Semifinals, Conference Finals (twice) and Finals through the last four seasons.
The Lincolns were the outstanding team in the 2024-25 campaign, winning 42 of 50 regular season games to top the league.
Only a heartbreaking game seven loss to the Maroons in the Conference Finals denied them the chance of a perfect season.
General Manager Pat Powers and Head Coach Jeff Bradley will be looking to hoist a cup in 2026.
The Milton Keynes native will doubtless have the opportunity to make a statement in a forward group that will likely be decimated by overage players moving on this summer.

Until then, I’m certain Clarke will have the chance to join the OHL training camp in an attempt to feature at the top level of Canadian Junior hockey this season.
