At the time of writing, the 2023-24 NHL season is three weeks away.

For reasons best known to itself, the NHL begins on a Tuesday with three games on the docket.

Tampa hosts Nashville, Pittsburgh will entertain Chicago with Connor Bedard set to make his NHL debut, and the Vegas Golden Knights will raise a first championship banner before facing Seattle.

Details and information surrounding coverage in the UK for this season are sketchy.

UPDATED: September 24, 2023

As I reported at the end of July, https://wp.me/p2gDti-1wJ , the situation with ViaPlay remains uncertain.

A quick look at their website and you would assume it’s business as usual. VP is set to broadcast the pre-season Global Series games in Australia and a selection of other warm-up games.

Options include a seven-day free trial, a rolling monthly subscription and a yearly subscription (paid monthly) at a discounted rate.

VP is available via a streaming service, and broadcasters SKY, Virgin Media and Prime Video.

NHL TV

There was supposed to be no NHL TV available in the UK with the advent of VP and their streaming series. However, it’s back and available to UK subscribers.

Once you log into your account (free to create an account), click the subscribe now button to see the packages on offer.

At the time of writing, there is only one package on offer.

A monthly subscription at £14.99 per month. Credit cards and PayPal are the payment options on offer.
