The Arizona Coyotes have announced that they will be holding their prospect development camp September 9-13 with on-ice sessions starting Thursday, September 9, at Gila River Arena.
On-ice sessions are scheduled for the following days:
Thursday, Sept. 9: 1:30 – 3:00 pm and 3:45 – 5:15 pm
Friday, Sept. 10: 9:00 – 10:30 am and 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
Saturday, Sept. 11: 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Sunday, Sept. 12: 9:00 – 10:30 am and 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Monday, Sept. 13: 6:00 pm Black vs. White scrimmage, which is free and open to the public.
The first thing you notice is that the Coyotes roster is not chock full of high-end talent.

Eight of the forwards on the roster are Arizona draft picks and includes their 2021 ninth overall choice, Dylan Guenther
Also on the roster are Josh Doan, Matias Maccelli, Ben McCartney, Ryan McGregor and Liam Kirk.
The lack of depth on the roster at the forward position with ten players added on amateur contracts, should aid Kirk.
In an organisation packed with young talent like Los Angeles, the GB forward would be far down the pecking order with limited opportunity to make an impact.
At this development camp and the upcoming rookie games, Kirk has a real shot at making a strong impression heading into the full camp.
The competitive action in development camp begins with the 2021 “Rookie Faceoff” tournament from September 17-20 at Gila River Arena and the Ice Den Scottsdale.

The tournament will include four teams from the Pacific Division (Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Jose and Vegas) and two from the Central Division (Arizona and Colorado).
Arizona will play three games at Gila River Arena during the tournament.
Friday, Sept. 17 vs. the Vegas Golden Knights at 7:30 pm
Sunday, Sept. 19 vs. the Los Angeles Kings at 6:30 pm
Monday, Sept. 20 vs. the Anaheim Ducks at 12:00 pm.
Tickets and streaming information can be found at arizonacoyotes.com/rookiefaceoff.
All ticket proceeds will benefit the Arizona Coyotes Foundation in support of the Coyotes youth Learn-to-Play programs including Little Howlers and Little Leightons.
The Arizona Coyotes Foundation will be running a 50/50 raffle online and in-person during each game at Gila River Arena and the Ice Den Scottsdale. The tournament’s cumulative pot, which runs from Sept. 1-20, will benefit the Foundation and the Kachina’s Girls Hockey program.
All Coyotes games can be watched live at ArizonaCoyotes.com.
The Arizona Rookie Faceoff is being streamed in coordination with Black Dog Hockey.
The link for the stream will not be live until game time.
Streams are only available in the home market of the participating teams.
